Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent enrollment is a valuable opportunity for students in high school, community college, or those enrolled in a CSU to pursue a maximum of 6 units at Sonoma State University, all while maintaining their enrollment at their primary educational institution.

Please note: If you are interested in taking classes through Open University, it is a separate process through the School of Extended and International Education. Please visit the Open University website for more information.
Concurrent Enrollment Options
Early Entrant Program at Sonoma State University.
Program Requirements
Open to high school Junior and Seniors
Must have a 3.0 overall high school GPA.
Must have an overall 2.5 GPA at SSU and be in good academic standing to be eligible to reapply.

Approval from your high school must be uploaded
Once the Concurrent Enrollment Request form is approved, you will have to submit an application through CalState Apply with the invitation code provided in your approval email. There is no fee to apply. We recommend that you use the application guide, while completing your application.
The deadlines to submit a Concurrent Enrollment Request are as follows:
Spring Semester: 8/1 - 9/15
Fall Semester: 1/1 - 2/15
Codes will be sent as follows:
Spring Semester 9/17 - 9/22
Fall Semester 2/17 - 2/22
CalState Apply application deadlines are as follows:
Spring Semester 9/17 - 9/30
Fall Semester 2/17 - 2/28
**Late CalState Apply applications will not be processed.
Additional Information
Admission to the Early Entrant program does not constitute formal matriculation to SSU.
Units acquired through the program do not carry SSU-resident credit.
Admissions to the Early Entrant program does not guarantee enrollment.
Registration and enrollment is on a space - available basis and subject to SSU faculty approval.
Priority will be given to current SSU students formally matriculated to SSU.
The applicant is responsible for meeting the prerequisites for any SSU course(s) they wish to enroll in.
Enrollment is strictly limited to two courses per semester and is non-negotiable.
The Early Entrant program fee is approx. $36 and may be subject to change.
This does not include the cost of the books, document fees, materials fees, or lab fees.
Students who are not California residents will be required to pay non-resident fees
