Concurrent Enrollment
Concurrent enrollment is a valuable opportunity for students in high school, community college, or those enrolled in a CSU to pursue a maximum of 6 units at Sonoma State University, all while maintaining their enrollment at their primary educational institution.

Work-Related Program at Sonoma State University (Post-Baccalaureate)
Program Requirements
A student is eligible once approved by Payroll at SSU.
Must have an overall 2.5 GPA at SSU and be in good academic standing to be eligible to reapply.

Payroll and Benefits will send a confirmation email as approval based on employment status.

Once the Concurrent Enrollment request form is approved, you will have to submit an application through CalState Apply with the invitation code provided in your approval email. There is no fee to apply.
The deadlines to submit a Concurrent Enrollment Request are as follows:
Spring Semester: 8/1 - 9/15
Fall Semester: 1/1 - 2/15
Codes will be sent as follows:
Spring Semester 9/17 - 9/22
Fall Semester 2/17 - 2/22
CalState Apply application deadlines are as follows.
Spring Semester 9/17 - 9/30
Fall Semester 2/17 - 2/28
**Late CalState Apply applications will not be processed.
Once student has registered, complete Faculty and Staff Tuition Waiver Application and submit to Payroll and Benefits to apply reduction in fees to their account
Entire process repeats for subsequent terms
Additional Information
If you are eligible for participation in the Tuition Waiver Program then you will need to follow the admission steps as outlined, which requires you to upload Heather Cain’s email as approval to participate in this program (will be sent under separate cover).

Admissions Next Steps: Once you have been enrolled, we will then need you to complete the Faculty and Staff Tuition Waiver Application https://hr.sonoma.edu/sites/hr/files/new_faculty-and-staff-fee-waiver-application-fill_and_print.pdf to waive applicable fees for the semester in which you are enrolled.
Admission to the Work-Related Program does not constitute formal matriculation to SSU.
Work related courses are taken for the purpose of improving the level of skills needed to perform existing duties and responsibilities, or acquiring additional skills needed to perform newly assigned duties.
The work-related program is intended for non-matriculated students who want to take a course for the purpose of improving the level of skills needed to perform existing duties and responsibilities, or acquiring additional skills needed to perform newly assigned duties.
Eligibility to participate in this program is determined by your current employment status, as defined in your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Units acquired through the program do not carry SSU-resident credit.
Admissions to the Work-Related Program does not guarantee enrollment.
Registration and enrollment is on a space-available basis during the last registration period.
Priority will be given to current SSU students formally matriculated to SSU.
The applicant is responsible for meeting the prerequisites for any SSU course(s) they wish to enroll in.

Students who are not California residents will be required to pay non-resident fees.
Intrasystem Enrollment (Post-Baccalaureate) at Sonoma State University:
Program Requirements
A student is eligible to cross enroll at SSU if the student has met all of the following requirements:
Approval from home CSU is granted based on the following criteria:
California resident
Possess a bachelor’s degree
Complete at least one term at the home campus as a matriculated student
Enrolled for a minimum of six units at the home campus for the current term
Earned a grade point average of 2.5 for completed work
Paid appropriate tuition and fees at home campus for the current term
Must have an overall 2.5 GPA at SSU and be in good academic standing to be eligible to reapply.
